Australian graphic design platform Canva Group is slashing 1,271 jobs, or about 22% of its workforce, as part of a major restructuring exercise. The move comes after the company recorded a slowdown in growth for the first time in a decade. As part of the restructuring, Canva plans to merge its Product, Growth and Platform teams into a single Product Organisation. The company said the move is aimed at reducing handovers, establishing clearer ownership and giving teams greater autonomy.
