Qualcomm to power Starlink’s US terrestrial 5G network
NEW DELHI: Qualcomm Technologies said on Wednesday that SpaceX has selected its Dragonwing Cellular Infrastructure platforms for Starlink Mobile’s U.S. nationwide terrestrial 5G network.
The network will integrate Qualcomm Dragonwing QRU100 and QDU100 platforms, alongside commercial-grade Layer 1 software. This setup is designed to support cellular base station deployment at scale, combining high-capacity Massive MIMO radio and baseband technology with power-efficient processing.
