Mark Zuckerberg says Meta is happy with adoption of its chatbot Muse, but admits AI is expensive, and company does not plan to keep it ‘free’
Facebook-parent Meta introduced its personal AI agent Muse in September and is becoming central to the company’s plan to start making money off its massive investment in AI. Speaking during the earning call on October 1, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that the company is already working on monetizing the agent, adding that he expects Muse to generate more revenue per user than its existing platforms – Facebook and Instagram. Zuckerberg revealed that despite being available only in the US and Canada, more than 10 million people have started using it since its rollout.
“Now that Muse has clear product market fit, we are entering a new phase and a more operational phase that is focused on scaling it,” Zuckerberg said. “We expect to grow Muse to serve billions of people.”
