Netflix lays off data centre network architect, 1,000 roles: Report
NEW DELHI: Netflix laid off around 6 per cent of its workforce, affecting approximately 1,000 roles, according to reports from SDxCentral and news agency Reuters. This marks the streaming giant’s largest round of layoffs in over four years.
The company told its staff about layoffs in an internal memo, Reuters said.
Netflix separately said on Thursday it has appointed former Disney executive Peter Rice as chief content officer, succeeding Bela Bajaria, who is leaving after nearly 10 years at the streaming platform.
