OpenAI takes on Google with ChatGPT’s new virtual try-on feature
OpenAI has introduced a new virtual try-on feature for ChatGPT, allowing users to see how clothes and accessories may look on them before making a purchase, as the company expands its push into AI-powered shopping. Notably, OpenAI isn’t the first to bring virtual try-on to an AI assistant — Google launched a similar feature last year. The feature lets users upload a selfie or a full-body photograph to generate images showing how a clothing item or accessory would appear on them. OpenAI said the option will appear as a new”Try On” button within ChatGPT’s shopping results. Users can also upload screenshots or images of products found elsewhere online and ask ChatGPT to virtually try them on.
