Police open helplines to report harassment by organisers over Puja subscriptions

Police have announced helplines for reporting harassment over Puja subscriptions amid concerns that a change in regime may have affected the funding channels of several organisers.

A toll-free number (18003455678) and a WhatsApp number (9432624365) have been introduced to report such incidents.

“We urge all to raise the alarm against any case of forced collection of subscriptions,” a Kolkata Police officer said.
