Enterprise AI adoption disrupts traditional managed services models: Cognizant’s Rohit Kumar

NEW DELHI: A top executive at Cognizant said that as artificial intelligence (AI) absorbs an increasing volume of commoditised execution layers, it is disrupting legacy managed services models for enterprise customers.

“Managed services were historically priced on headcount and effort-based, in volumes, and people to match. As AI absorbs the routine execution layer, that basis weakens, and it is felt across three pillars,” Rohit Kumar, senior vice president (SVP) and chief operating officer of global operations (commercial, delivery and head of talent supply chain), Cognizant, told TechGig in an interview.
