Starbucks signs MOU with TN Government to set up Global Capability Centre in Chennai

CHENNAI: US-headquartered coffee giant Starbucks Coffee has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Tamil Nadu government to establish a Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Chennai, creating high-paying employment opportunities for 800 technology professionals.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay between Starbucks Coffee and Guidance, the state government’s nodal agency, under the Industries Department at the Secretariat on Monday.
