Semicon India 2.0: Infineon CEO calls India key semiconductor market, expands workforce by 28%
German semiconductor major Infineon Technologies is deepening its presence in India as the country pushes to build a larger role in the global chip supply chain, with CEO Jochen Hanebeck saying the company’s confidence in the market has “never been stronger”.
Speaking at the inaugural session of SEMICON India 2026 on Thursday, Hanebeck described India as a market of “tremendous importance” for Infineon, pointing to its expanding customer base, workforce and research and development footprint in the country.
