HCLTech launches ‘Pulse’ business unit for AI transformation in mid-market enterprises
HCLTech has launched “HCLTech Pulse”, a dedicated business unit designed to assist fast-scaling enterprises with annual revenues ranging from $500 million to $5 billion. The unit’s primary focus is to help these organisations safely scale AI, modernise their technology foundations, and accelerate growth through an integrated transformation agenda.
HCLTech Pulse aims to move clients beyond isolated AI initiatives by connecting AI strategy, data, cyber, platforms, engineering, and business-process transformation. This approach is tailored for organisations with enterprise-scale ambitions that have traditionally relied on multiple niche providers for their technology needs.
C Vijayakumar, CEO and MD, HCLTech, said, “AI is rewriting the economics of growth. The real advantage goes to enterprises bold enough to reimagine their processes from the ground up, not just automate what already exists, and to do it safely and responsibly.” He added that HCLTech Pulse combines the company’s AI, engineering, cyber, data, and industry expertise to help enterprises rethink work processes and convert AI investment into measurable business value.
According to Peter Bendor-Samuel, founder and executive chairman, Everest Group, this market segment represents an approximately $400 billion global technology-services opportunity, growing at 7-9 per cent annually. He noted that as these organisations move from AI experimentation to scaled deployment, the market will favour providers that combine deep technology expertise with industry context and an integrated delivery model.
The unit extends HCLTech’s existing portfolio, offering a delivery model purpose-built for this segment. It will concentrate on high-priority transformation areas, including AI strategy and implementation rooted in safety and responsible AI, data and AI platforms, cloud transformation, application and enterprise-platform modernisation, cybersecurity, engineering services, and managed services. The integrated approach seeks to enable clients to adopt AI safely, with greater speed, confidence, and governance, fostering sustained competitive advantage.
