    Samsung invests in Nvidia rival: Dutch AI chip startup gets $230 million funding as quest for alternatives grow

    Dutch AI chipmaker Euclyd has secured backing from Samsung in a $231 million funding round, amid a boom in venture funding in alternatives to Nvidia’s dominance in graphics processing units (GPUs), according to a CNBC report.

    The 200-million-euro Series A round was co-led by Samsung, Somerset Capital Partners, Innovation Industries, and the EQT-managed Scaleup Europe Fund, CEO Bernardo Kastrup told CNBC.
