Oracle begins a fresh round of layoffs in India

Product engineering teams have borne the brunt of the India cuts, while support and consulting functions have seen relatively fewer job losses, Moneycontrol reported, citing sources. The exact number of employees affected in India could not be independently confirmed.

Employees received an early morning email from “Oracle Leadership” saying their roles had been eliminated as part of a “broader organizational change”. The notice said the day of the email was their last working day, and that access to company computers, email, voicemail and files would be deactivated. The Indian Express reported that staff were asked to provide a personal email address to receive separation documents.
