Cloud firm Oracle says to spend $700 mn more on restructuring costs

NEW DELHI: Cloud major Oracle said its restructuring costs, as part of a rationalisation plan that also includes jon cuts, will increase by about $700 million, as the company reins in expenses while making heavy investments to capture surging demand for artificial intelligence (AI) services, according to a regulatory filing on Friday.

The increase raises the total estimated cost of its fiscal 2026 restructuring plan to roughly $2.8 billion, which includes severance payments, contract terminations, and exit costs partly tied to internal AI adoption.
