Elon Musk has responded to an X (formerly known as Twitter) post about the growing use of the word “Nazi” in political arguments, saying that using the term against people over their political views can insult those who actually suffered under Nazi rule. The post, shared by X user Captain Eli, argued that the word has increasingly been used as a label for political opponents rather than as a reference to the Nazi regime. Elon Musk replied that calling someone a Nazi simply for holding centrist views takes away from the meaning of the term and disrespects people who died under the Nazis. He also said those who misuse the word should be condemned.
