TCS arm bets USD 7 billion on AI, builds 1Giga Watt data centre campus in Telangana

The country’s leading IT company, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), on Saturday said its HyperVault unit and partners have committed ₹70,000 crore ($7.4 billion) to set up a large-scale artificial intelligence data centre campus in Telangana, speeding up its push into an area that Indian tech firms are prioritising for future growth.

HyperVault has secured 264 acres (107 hectares) of land to develop the site in Hyderabad, the company said. The firm expects the project, which will have a capacity of up to one gigawatt, to rank among the largest AI infrastructure campuses in India.
