Tech Mahindra, AWS launch agentic AI CoE for enterprise transformation
Tech Mahindra has announced the establishment of its Amazon Web Services (AWS) Agentic Process Transformation (APT) Center of Excellence (CoE), a strategic move designed to expedite the integration of Agentic AI within enterprises.
This CoE will focus on delivering scalable AI solutions that yield measurable business outcomes for clients in sectors such as telecom, healthcare, banking, retail, and manufacturing.
The CoE integrates Tech Mahindra BPS’ extensive process expertise with AWS’ cloud and Agentic AI capabilities, facilitating enterprises’ transition from AI experimentation to tangible business impact. It is structured as a scalable AI execution engine, enabling the deployment of industry-specific AI solutions to boost operational efficiency, cut costs, improve decision-making, and accelerate pilot-to-production cycles.
This initiative reinforces Tech Mahindra’s partnership with AWS and enhances its capacity to implement governed, enterprise-scale AI transformation.
The APT CoE has already shown measurable business impact through its first jointly developed solution, Collections Guru. This agentic AI-powered collections agent, co-developed by Tech Mahindra and AWS, was deployed by Target Group, a UK-based financial services outsourcing provider, to transform arrears management operations.
Built on AWS cloud and AI infrastructure, Collections Guru delivered approximately 40% efficiency gains by autonomously optimising collection strategies, demonstrating the type of production-grade offering the CoE intends to scale across industries.
Birendra Sen, president (business process services), Tech Mahindra, said, “With the AWS APT CoE, we are bringing together Tech Mahindra BPS’ process expertise and AWS-native AI capabilities to help customers operationalise Agentic AI with stronger governance, faster execution, and measurable business impact.”
Katie Pender, COO, Target Group, added, “Since introducing the Collections Guru agent, we’re seeing encouraging early results, including anticipated efficiency gains of around 40% in the areas where it’s been rolled out. It’s been a valuable step in how we’re modernising our operations.”
Chandra Pinapala, GSI director, AWS, said, “In a time of rapid technological change, a Center of Excellence becomes the anchor that helps partners and customers learn together, deliver value faster, and reimagine business processes with confidence.”
