TSMC plans Kaohsiung site expansion to boost semiconductor testing efficiency

Taipei [Taiwan], September 2 (ANI): Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) is planning to expand its presence at the Baipu Industrial Park in Kaohsiung to speed up the testing and validation of semiconductor materials and equipment, a company executive said on Tuesday, according to Focus Taiwan.

As per the report, TSMC Vice President of Advanced Packaging Technology and Service Jun He said the company is working with Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Kaohsiung City government on the expansion, which is expected to boost validation efficiency by 25-50 per cent.
