Quote of the day by Tim Cook as he steps down after 15 years as Apple CEO: ‘Use AI for Humanity’
Tim Cook is stepping down as Apple CEO today after 15 years at the top of the company. He will hand over the CEO role to John Ternus, Apple’s senior vice president of Hardware Engineering. Cook’s exit marks the end of a major chapter in Apple’s history. He became CEO in 2011, taking over from Apple co-founder Steve Jobs.
However, Cook is not completely leaving Apple. He will continue with the company as its executive chairman. Apple said he will also help with certain areas of the business, including engaging with policymakers around the world.
