Musk pitches Starlink for rural India amid regulatory wait

Elon Musk has pitched Starlink as a solution to India’s rural connectivity gap even as the satellite Internet company awaits regulatory clearances to begin commercial operations in the country. “Starlink would help the least served in India, especially in rural areas,” the SpaceX founder said in a post on X on Thursday. He was responding to a post by X account DogeDesigner, which highlighted the extent of India’s connectivity gap and called for faster approval of Starlink services for remote villages.
