Orbital data center startup Starcloud valued at $2.3 billion in latest funding

Starcloud, a startup building data centers in space, said on Friday it had raised $250 million at a $2.3 billion valuation, as it looks to expand AI infrastructure through orbital data centers.

SpaceX’s blockbuster IPO ‌has rekindled ⁠investor ⁠interest in the space industry, including in emerging ​areas such as orbital data centers.

Manhattan West led the round that included new investors Nvidia and Cisco Investments, alongside existing backers Benchmark, EQT and ⁠Soma, among ‌others.
