BITSILICA: Chipping into the future

In an industry where a single silicon error can cost years of work and millions of dollars, building a chip-design company from the ground up is no small feat. Yet, what began in 2019–20 with a 10-member team at BITSILICA has grown into a 650-engineer global operation, working across India, the US, Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam. Founded by Bhaskar Kakani, an alumnus of IIIT-H, with a vision to build a world-class semiconductor e-R&D company, BITSILICA has evolved alongside the industry’s dramatic shift towards AI, advanced computing and next-generation chip architectures.
