ChatGPT for Teens: How OpenAI is making AI safer for young users

OpenAI has introduced a new version of ChatGPT designed specifically for teen users. The new ChatGPT for Teens arrives with parental controls and advanced safety features to ensure a safe and secure experience. On the sidelines of the rollout, Pragya Misra, OpenAI’s Head of Strategy and Global Affairs, India, shared how the platform detects teen users, the risks it guards against, and why India is key to its plans.

​Earlier this year, ChatGPT crossed 100 million weekly users in India, with 18- to 24-year-old users leading the demographic. Considering the ever-expanding number of users, India is a significant market for OpenAI. According to Misra, India is positioned to benefit vastly from AI-assisted learning.
