Swiss telco Sunrise meets Q2 core profit expectations, confirms outlook

Sunrise Communications, Switzerland’s second-largest telecoms operator, met market expectations for second-quarter core earnings and reaffirmed its annual targets on ‌Wednesday, saying ⁠cost ⁠discipline helped soften the impact of lower-than-expected revenue.

Lease-adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation, or EBITDAaL, slid 3.8% to 244.4 million Swiss francs ($301.4 million) in the quarter, while analysts polled by the company had expected 244 million ⁠francs on ‌average.
