India must strengthen pathways to semicon technology development, commercialisation: NITI Aayog’s Abhay Karandikar
NEW DELHI: India’s semiconductor strategy must focus on strengthening the pathway from research and innovation to technology development and commercialisation, said a top official of NITI Aayog on Tuesday.
“India’s semiconductor mission has established strong foundations across fabrication, packaging, testing, and design, while the Semicon 2.0 will take this further by strengthening the capabilities in design, equipment and tools, materials, advanced manufacturing, indigenous IP, R&D, and talent development,” said Abhay Karandikar, member, NITI Aayog.
