The Google bet Buffett regrets missing is now Berkshire’s 3rd-largest holding at $36.6 billion

Berkshire Hathaway has started buying stocks again after being a net seller for 14 straight quarters. Warren Buffett is behind one of its biggest moves — a major investment in Google parent Alphabet.

Berkshire bought nearly $19.8 billion worth of publicly traded stocks in the second quarter, according to its latest 13F filing submitted after the market closed on August 14. The company bought $23.5 billion in stocks and sold about $3.7 billion.
