India’s data centre market gains global standing; Mumbai leads, Tier-II gain momentum: Report
Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], August 6 (ANI): Mumbai has emerged as India’s leading data centre market and one of the key digital infrastructure hubs in Asia-Pacific with 774 MW of operational IT capacity and nearly 5 GW of data centre capacity in the pipeline, according to a report by Knight Frank.
As per the report, India’s data centre landscape is becoming increasingly diversified. Interestingly, Tier-II cities including Visakhapatnam and Jamnagar are also emerging as greenfield data centre destinations, on the back of government initiatives and planned subsea cable connectivity.
