Taiwan chipmaker PSMC says management stable after chairman’s death

TAIPEI: The management team at Taiwan’s Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing Corp (PSMC) remains stable and its cooperation with Micron will proceed as planned, acting Chairman Brian ‌Shieh said ⁠on ⁠Tuesday.

Taiwan’s fourth-largest foundry by revenue said on Friday that its founder and Chairman Frank Huang had died from cardiopulmonary failure.

“The management team remains stable,” Shieh said, adding the company’s strategy would remain unchanged and follow the direction set by its ⁠late chairman.
