Labour, talent shortage may constrain India’s data center dream run
NEW DELHI: As India sees record financial commitments across the value chain to build data centers, industry executives caution that a growing shortage of specialised engineering and technical talent is emerging as a significant constraint.
Data center development across the country is being driven by multiple factors, including the shift to GPU-dense racks, expanding enterprise AI and cloud adoption, regulatory mandates and data localisation, and expansion into tier-2 & beyond markets.
