HFCL wins ₹441.53 crore export deal to supply optical fiber cables

Homegrown HFCL said on Thursday that it has won a $46.13 (~₹441.53 crore) deal from an international customer to supply optical fiber cables.

“…the company has secured an export order worth ~$46.13 million (equivalent to ~₹441.53 crore) for the supply of optical fiber cables, through its overseas wholly owned subsidiary, from a renowned international customer,” HFCL said in a regulatory filing.

The order is expected to be executed by January 2027.

The deal win comes days after the Delhi-based vendor reported an 119.85% year-on-year rise in its Q1FY27 consolidated revenue to ₹1,914.98 crore. It had reported revenue of ₹871.02 crore in the June quarter of FY26.

The domestic vendor expects FY27 revenue to grow by 40% in the current fiscal year.

HFCL posted a profit after tax (PAT) of ₹245.64 crore in the April-June quarter of FY27, compared to a net loss of ₹29.3 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.

It achieved its highest-ever order book of nearly ₹26,665 crore. Export revenue stood at ₹1,063.30 crore in Q1FY27, as compared to ₹209.70 crore in Q1FY26.

HFCL shares were however trading 2.79% lower at ₹188 on the BSE Thursday at 9:59am.
