India may need $350-435 billion investment in AI, data centre infrastructure by 2030: Report
India may require investments of $350-435 billion by 2030 to develop artificial intelligence (AI) and data centre infrastructure needed to support its expanding digital economy, according to a report by OmniScience Insights Labs.
The report estimated that India will need 19-23 gigawatts (GW) of operational data centre capacity by 2030, compared with the current installed capacity of around 1.6 GW. The demand is expected to be driven by AI adoption, cloud computing, digital public infrastructure and data localisation.
