Homegrown IndieSemiC, Semtech join hands for LoRa-enabled RISC-V chip

Ahmedabad: Gujarat-based fabless semiconductor startup IndieSemiC Pvt Ltd has partnered with US-based semiconductor supplier Semtech Corporation to develop Sabarmati-1, a 64-bit RISC-V-based system-in-package (SiP) with integrated LoRa connectivity for Internet of Things (IoT) applications.

The announcement was made by the Union ministry of electronics and information technology in the presence of senior officials, including India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) CEO Amitesh Sinha in New Delhi.
