Ordered iPhone 14 Pro, received beard oil: Mumbai consumer court orders Flipkart, seller to pay over Rs 1.8 lakh
A Mumbai consumer court has ordered Flipkart and one of its sellers to jointly refund more than Rs 1.11 lakh, along with compensation and litigation costs, to a customer who received a bottle of beard growth oil instead of the Apple iPhone 14 Pro he had ordered online. The total payout exceeds Rs 1.8 lakh, excluding interest on the refund amount.
The District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Additional DCF, Mumbai (Suburban), in an order passed earlier this month, held Flipkart and seller International Value Retail Pvt Ltd jointly and severally liable for deficiency in service and unfair trade practice.
