Google launches Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber as ‘cost-affective’ option to models like Anthropic’s Mythos

Google has unveiled Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber as an a highly cost-effective alternative to massive, expensive security models to secure global software networks, pitting the AI model against Anthropic and OpenAI’s offerings. The lightweight cybersecurity model is designed to scan, discover and patch critical software vulnerabilities automatically, the company said. The launch expands Google’s automated defense initiatives, building on its internal code security agent, CodeMender.
