Millionaire and billionaire AI workers from Anthropic, OpenAI are ‘donating more’ than those of Google, Facebook or Airbnb employees
While AI companies like OpenAI and Anthropic are yet to go public with Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) expected in the next few months, high-salaried workers at these AI labs are donating money to political campaigns at rates far surpassing the early workforces of legacy tech giants like Google, Facebook and Airbnb, a report has said.
According to a report by San Francisco Standard, these workers, who have been empowered by generous salaries and corporate tender offers, have rapidly organised into a potent donor class, and are pouring millions of dollars into congressional races, California state contests, and political action committees (PACs) as they aim to reshape the relationship between Silicon Valley and Washington.
