Semicon 2.0 can create $5-billion equipment components ecosystem: KAS Group’s Manjunath Jyothinagara
NEW DELHI: The recently approved Semicon 2.0 scheme could lead to the creation of at least a $5-billion local components ecosystem for semiconductor equipment, and drive domestic competence, said a top executive of homegrown KAS Group.
“The policy (Semicon 2.0) should succeed in the form of getting at least 100 companies in the next five years, each of them churning out an average of $50 million to generate a $5 billion ecosystem for components in India,” Manjunath Jyothinagara, managing director, KAS Group, told ETElectronicsWorld in an interview.
