PESB recommends STPI’s Arvind Kumar for director of consumer mobility post at BSNL
The Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB) has, on Saturday, recommended the Software Technology Parks of India’s (STPI) Director-General and CEO, Arvind Kumar, for the post of Director (Consumer Mobility) at Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited.
The PESB, under the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), conducted interviews of seven candidates, including Kumar.
These included Nitin Ravindra Mahajan, principal general manager, Ahmedabad, BSNL; Ramashay Prasad, principal general manager (consumer mobility), BSNL; Sanjeev Singhal, principal general manager (transmission), BSNL; Daya Nand Katyayan, senior general manager (business area head — Faridabad), BSNL; Kamlesh Kukreti, senior general manager, BSNL; and Digamber Kumar, senior general manager (business area head — Tumkur), BSNL.
Kumar will succeed Sandeep Govil, whose tenure is ending on July 31, 2026.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) on July 9, 2026, released a notification inviting applications from candidates to fill the post of Director-General at STPI.
STPI is a premier organization under the MeitY, engaged in promoting the IT/ITeS Industry, innovation, R&D, start-ups, product and IP creation in the field of emerging technologies such as IoT, blockchain, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and computer vision, among others.
