Meta submits reply to Govt on WhatsApp ‘usernames’ feature; MeitY examining response
New Delhi [India], July 10 (ANI): Meta has submitted its reply to the central government regarding the proposed rollout of the WhatsApp “usernames” feature in India, sources told ANI.
The response, received late on Wednesday night, is currently under examination by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).
“A reply was received yesterday night from WhatsApp. It is under examination, as of now,” sources familiar with the matter told ANI.
