HFCL in talks with hyperscalers to meet OFC demand for AI data centres

NEW DELHI: Homegrown HFCL is in active discussions with multiple hyperscalers and is increasing its optical fibre production capacity to meet the ballooning data centre demand worldwide, driven by artificial intelligence (AI)-led connectivity.

“We are receiving inquiries from different hyperscalers, and are working on that. It is not the demand, but the supply that is the constraint. As a result, we are continuously increasing our capacity. Every month, we are increasing our capacity,” Mahendra Nahata, MD, HFCL said.
