HFCL wins ₹495.8 crore deal to supply OFC for data center to overseas customer

Homegrown HFCL on Friday said it has won a $51.98 million (~₹495.80 crore) deal from an international company to supply optical fibre cable (OFC)-based data center connectivity solutions.

“We are pleased to inform all stakeholders that the company has secured an export order worth ~$51.98 million (equivalent to ~₹495.80 crore), for the supply of optical fiber cable-based data center connectivity solutions, through its overseas wholly owned material subsidiary, from a renowned international customer,” the Delhi-based vendor said in a regulatory filing.

The order execution timeline is by December 2026.

The deal win comes close on the heels of HFCL launching its dedicated data center solution brand, ‘OptiQ AI’.

HFCL said it is expanding its OFC capacity to 45 million fibre-route kilometres (rkm) from 39 rkm per year. It is also increasing optical fibre capacity to 40 million fibre-route kilometres from 30 million rkm per year.

The company’s OFC business also recorded the highest-ever order book of ₹13,483 crore in the fiscal year that ended March 31, 2026.
