Industry hopeful of India-US trade deal in coming weeks: Sunil Mittal

NEW DELHI: Bharti Enterprises Chairman Sunil Mittal said on Wednesday that the industry is hoping for an expeditious conclusion of a trade deal between India and the United States (US).

“I’m also hoping, Secretary Howard Lutnick, that if not in days, but in a few weeks, India and the US will have a trade deal that we in the industry have been looking forward to,” Mittal said at the IX Leadership Summit of the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF), where he was honoured with the 2026 Leadership Award.
