Apple Vision Pro and Apple’s smart glasses executive is joining OpenAI

OpenAI has poached Paul Meade, the top Apple executive who spent nearly a decade leading engineering for the Apple Vision Pro and the tech giant’s secret smart glasses initiative, Bloomberg has reported. Meade, a senior hardware vice president, is scheduled to exit Apple by next week before transitioning directly into OpenAI’s specialised hardware division, the report said.

The report said that he is slated to spearhead development for OpenAI’s highly anticipated, unannounced family of AI-first consumer devices.
