DoT opens online portal for service authorisation, license migration

NEW DELHI: The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) on Thursday opened an online portal for applicants to obtain authorisations to provide telecom services, as well as for migration from a licensed to an authorisation-based regime under the Telecommunications Act, 2023.

This development follows the notification of rules for authorisation for the provision of telecom services under Clause (a) of Sub-Section (1) of Section 3 of the Telecommunications Act, 2023, which were notified on June 23, 2026.
