Stronger focus on IP a must for India in semiconductors; strength in middle-layer: Cadence’s Alok Jain

NEW DELHI: India needs a stronger focus on developing intellectual property (IP) and product design to bolster its position in the global semiconductor industry, according to a top executive of the US-based Cadence.

“We need to put a focus on talent and developing our IP, which are absolutely critical. We need to emphasise product development. Those three aspects need a lot more focus,” Alok Jain, managing director of Cadence India, told ETElectronicsWorld in an interview.
