Bosch CEO notes rising memory chip prices but says bottlenecks not an issue

Bosch is observing rising prices in memory chips driven by the boom in artificial intelligence but ‌is ⁠not ⁠concerned about bottlenecks, the German automotive supplier’s chief executive said on Wednesday.

“In the coming years, we ​will likely have ⁠to expect significantly ‌higher ​memory ​chip prices, and ⁠that will affect all of us,” ​CEO Stefan Hartung ​said, adding that this could be an issue for automated driving technology as ‌well as consumer electronics, where prices were ​already ​noticeably ⁠higher.

Supply chain bottlenecks, however, were not an issue, Hartung told ​reporters in Berlin. “These markets are highly efficient,” he said.
