    EU order against Meta may last until June 2029, EU antitrust chief says

    An order to Meta Platforms to restore rival ‌AI ⁠chatbots’ ⁠access to its social messaging app WhatsApp will remain in ⁠place while ‌an EU investigation continues ⁠or could last until June 2029, EU antitrust chief Teresa Ribera said ‌on Tuesday.

    Ribera said Meta’s proposal to ⁠address competition concerns was not convincing.
