Gaming, AI play a decisive role among smartphone makers: Qualcomm’s Christopher Patrick

NEW DELHI: Mobile gaming and artificial intelligence (AI) are the two crucial ingredients original equipment makers (OEMs) consider when evaluating chipset capabilities, a top Qualcomm executive said.

“Gaming continues to be a very passionate topic for so many of our customers. In many markets, that’s how they evaluate the chipset,” Christopher Patrick, vice president & general manager (mobile handset) at Qualcomm Technologies, told ETTelecom.
