Jio Platforms appoints Akash Ambani as MD

NEW DELHI: Reliance Industries’ digital arm, Jio Platforms (JPL), has appointed Akash Ambani as its Managing Director (MD) for five years, effective April 9, 2026, ahead of its initial public offering (IPO), Mint reported.

Akash’s appointment was approved during JPL’s board meeting on April 9, the publication reported, citing filings with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA).

“…Akash M Ambani, be and is hereby appointed as managing director of the company, for a period of 5 (five) years with effect from April 09, 2026,” as per the filing.
