Bharti Airtel to weigh rejig of arms’ shareholding

New Delhi: Bharti Airtel said its board will this week consider reorganising the shareholding framework of the telecom operator’s subsidiaries including London-listed Airtel Africa.

Reorganisation of the shareholding framework of subsidiary companies may result in the consolidation or acquisition of their shares and the consideration of it may be discharged through issuance of its equity shares on a preferential basis and/or cash, Airtel said in a note filed with stock exchanges on Sunday.
