Nearly 7,000 BSNL 4G sites set up across Kerala
Thiruvananthapuram: BSNL Kerala has installed 6,979 indigenous 4G sites – mobile towers and base stations – aimed at offering high-speed data and indoor coverage of calls across the state.
This rollout of indigenous 4G, that can be upgraded to 5G signifies self-reliant telecommunications, bringing high-speed data and crystal-clear voice services across the state, a BSNL Kerala statement read.
Of the 4G sites, 322 ensure that tribal settlements, hilly regions and underserved border areas — previously isolated from the digital map — are now fully integrated into the mainstream digital economy, the statement added.
