TRAI recommendations on 600MHz band to ease device ecosystem challenges: AK Lahoti

NEW DELHI: Telecom Regulatory Authority of India’s (TRAI) recommendations on the 600MHz band are expected to ease the challenges of device ecosystem development, which will be crucial to support the latest wireless networks, said its Chairman Anil Kumar Lahoti on Friday.

“Keeping in mind industry inputs on the 600 megahertz band, TRAI recommended an extended validity of 24 years, and that the roll-out obligations should commence only after an initial four-year period, thereby easing the challenge of device ecosystem development during the early phase,” Lahoti said.
